Clean Cosmetics with Sappho

I’ve never used drug store makeup. Even before going natural, my skin was far too sensitive to use anything that wasn’t somewhat high end. Although higher end brands are much healthier than your typical Maybelline, Clairol, Cover Girl etc…they’re still not completely natural.

My crunchy lifestyle began with food, but, soon, it took over my entire existence…makeup included.
Natural makeup has a reputation for being ineffective and expensive. It’s hard to find products that work well, which I was so excited to partner up with Sappho!

Sappho Cosmetics Company was founded by JoAnn Fowler, an Emmy Nominated Makeup Artist. That put my mind at ease, because this lovely lady obviously knows makeup.

Look at this amazing haul!

This makeup is higher quality than anything I’ve ever used. It’s never cakey, drying, or flakey. It’s smooth, but not greasy, and it makes my face and eyes feel rejuvenated.

The eyeshadows are poignant and well pigmented, but can be blended out to become very light and subtle. “Turtle” is, hands down, the best base shade I’ve ever used. It goes with absolutely everything.

The blushes are much like the eyeshadows. They can be applied straight or blended out.”Tutz” matches my rosey undertones perfectly.

Now, the foundation!

I must admit, I was worried. I mean, look how dark their lightest shade is.

I applied it to my face, anxious that I would look like an oompa loompa, but soon discovered that this light, luxurious liquid foundation blended exceptionally well into my skin.

Crazy, right?!?!
