Smoothie Simplicity

After a few months of homemade protein breakfast shakes, I started to hate smoothies. I associated them all with heaviness, an extreme sense of being full, whey protein, and unpleasant after tastes. I would have been fine to never drink one again. One day, though, I came across some frozen mango in my freezer. I had nothing to use it for, and decided to blend it up. I added some water and lemon juice, and was astounded at how delicious it was. I experimented with several different fruits, liquids, and ratios until I created my optimal fruit smoothie.

INGREDIENTS.
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 1/2 cups frozen mango
6-10 frozen strawberries
1 cup water
1/2 cup pineapple juice

INSTRUCTIONS:
Add all ingredients to blender and purée until your desired consistency is reached.

If you’d like to make this into a GREEN SMOOTHIE, simply add 2 cups of spinach (or other greens of choice), and add extra 1/2 cup of pineapple juice.
